First time to la diabla while visiting Denver, it's got a cool vibe inside. Al pastor is made out front as you walk in. The pozole is good, Thursdays they do a 2x1 - which is a great deal if you're going with a friend. The tacos were good, as Californian and Mexican it's hard to compare but for the area, I'd definitely come back. My favorite was the pastor, lots of flavor. The chicken mole one was second Chicken tinga 3rd And I wasn't a fan of the carne asada with chorizo, a little over cooked. I wish the pastor tacos came with more meat less toppings. Overall pretty good

Right now, its a little hole in the taqueria with only a tiny sign in front of the door. If driving by, you'd be hard pressed to see it, as there isnt any signage along where other stores have theirs very visable . Maybe that will change as i hear theyre expanding. The offerings here are a little off the cuff, but somehow maintain a very authentic sense and feel. This definitely isn't your typical taqueria. Vegetarian verde pozole is insanely good and im a huge carnivore. We also got a tacos, one with a giant bone for the bone marrow and that was insanely good...different but really good. Mix Drinks were really good too. Overall the food and drinks would be hard to beat almost anywhere by any other similar competitor, which is why this place is Michelin bib. As for upscale Mexican food, the only other place Ive been to (theres been a ton) that is better is another michelin bib restaurant in San Diego, Lola 55. If youre in Denver for however long, make it a point of emphasis to go here at least once. Service is a little subpar, but the food and drink more than makes up for it.

How AMAZZZZING were the margaritas and Al pastor tacos. The fish tacos roasted were authentic

La Diabla is the business. Unfortunately, there is no sign in the front except an old parking sign that has La Diabla on it. I missed the sign. I walked past the restaurant and went to another Mexican restaurant a block away. I was waiting for my friend for 30 minute. Eventually I contacted her and found out I was in the wrong location. Once I got there, I ordered the strawberry daiquiri which was delicious. For the food I ordered the tacos on the happy hour menu. I had the Pollo taco and the Carnitas taco. Both were very large and delicious. My friend had the pozole which was in a large bowl and looked delicious. We enjoyed our conversation with the bartender. Everyone heckled me when I finally arrived because I was at the wrong location. The restaurant was clean and quaint. Everyone was friendly and I will definitely will be back. Fridays are happy hour all day, which was great. I only dropped $20 for two tacos and a drink. The bartender was kind enough to give us a free shot. Wonderful establishment check it out.

Bomb! Has the red pozole with pork, guacamole and chips, plus a Negra Modelo for lunch..was not expecting this level of deep Mexican flavors in Denver..the place looks almost closed from the street but walk in and the vibe is pure Mexico.

This place gets better and better every year. The ambiance is awesome -- feels like a real bar right in the middle of Mexico City, with the dim lightning and Day of the Dead decor and mezcal-lined shelves and awesome music. Staff is all super awesome too. The pozole is the best in Denver -- unless you drive way out far somewhere maybe. The rojo (red) is my favorite, especially with the pork and egg added in. I love that they have their own in-house spicy sauces now too, both the red one and the habanero if you ask. I like my stuff ON FIRE, and they don't disappoint. My Mexican friend had the green pozole with chicken and loved his, too. Duck confit taco in mole sauce was a must too. All the tacos are great really. Try whatever they've got on the spit outside -- usually pastor, but sometimes something cool like tuna.

Three of us came in late Saturday night and the joint was jumping. Got a table, which is a super tight fit with your neighbor. It's quite loud so you have to yell to be heard. We ordered several dishes and shared. One adventurous thing was the cricket taco. BEWARE...it's not for the faint of heart. It's very earthy tasting with a grassy/hay aftertaste. The occasional stray leg may freak you out. The carne asada taco was solid. Their red pork pozole was delicious but lacked sal. I did The mezcal flight (Blancas), which were very different from each other, and are one once pours. The different salts add to the nuanced flavors. The orange flan was tasty but somewhat overcooked. Overall it was a delicious experience.

Highly recommend. I went on a Thursday night by myself and they were packed! I had to wait about 40 minutes but they thought it through. I had tacos while waiting and it held my hunger over. The tacos were so good, I had to stop myself from having more... would go back just for the al pastor and that's not even my usual order. The pineapple was sweet and juicy. The meat was thin and has its crispy bits.. topped with spicy pickled onions. The vibe inside was energetic and lively. Everyone was having a good time and you can't help but smile. I was seated at the bar and Mason, who was bartending, was super friendly! I ended up making conversation with the person next to me who is a regular. I had their rose paloma, lightly smokey and smooth. Sweet, but not overly so. Followed by their pozole negro-- savory, flavorful, warm. The owner was also very friendly and had a good pulse on the space. Hi Jose!
